Cashmere Care

Care for your Autumn Cashmere items at home without the toxins and cost of dry cleaning! We've partnered with The Laundress to help keep your favorite wool and cashmere clean, soft, and smelling fresh.

Follow these steps to keep your knits looking good as new.

Step 1: Prepare

Turn the item inside out and treat underarms, collar, cuffs and any stained area with a stain remover such as The Laundress Wash & Stain Bar. Soak tough stains in cold water for up to 30 minutes.

Step 2: Handwash

Fill a wash basin or sink with cool water and add 2 capfuls or a squirt of Cashmere Wash. Soak for up to 30 minutes. Run cool water through item until rinse water is no longer soapy. Do not wring. Instead, press the item against the sink or basin to remove excess water.

Step 3: Machine Wash

Insert item into a Mesh Washing Bag. Select the Woolens, Delicates, or Handwash cycle and use cold water. For a small load, add 2 capfuls of Cashmere Wash. For a full load, follow instructions on the bottle. Remove promptly after washing.

Step 4: Dry

Lay flat in its natural shape on top of a drying rack of towel. Do not put in the dryer! To expedite drying, lay the item in its original shape on a dry towel and roll it up (like a sleeping bag) to remove the excess water.

(Your cashmeres will seriously thank you for this.)
